  • Karan Arjun- This saga of reincarnation featuring Salman Khan alongside Shah Rukh Khan was a blockbuster when it hit the theatres on an inauspicious date - 13th January. Records tumbled and the bank balance of director and producer Rakesh Roshan added few zeroes in just a few weeks. The effect was mesmerising when SRK and Kajol gyrated to 'Jati Hu Mai' in the barns amidst horses.

  • Zamaana Deewana- The film was directed by Ramesh Sippy and was a non-starter at the box office. Despite the presence of supporting star cast like Jitendra and Shatrughan Sinha, the failure of the film was the obvious conclusion given its wafer thin plot. Post this failure people also started saying that the debacle was inevitable as Ramesh Sippy completed a full circle from A to Z. 'Andaz' (1971) being his directorial debut and 'Zamaana Deewana' (1995) being his last.

  • Guddu- This film too was a non-starter but was unique in many ways. The music of the film was composed by Naushad. The film was written by Abrar Alvi and Mahmood made an appearance after a gap. The archaic plot of the film was too much to digest. In later years Manisha Koirala earned the distinction of being the only actress whose films with the Khans never hit the bull's eye. Case in point - Dil Se, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Mann, Sangdil Sanam, Khamoshi - The Musical, Majhdhaar.

  • Oh Darling! Yeh Hai India!- This was a musical spoof which was directed by Ketan Mehta. In fact Ketan worked with SRK again after his critically acclaimed Maya Memsaab. It was one of those early movies of SRK which gave him the freedom to experiment with his roles and films before he became a star. Amrish Puri's character in the film was christened Don Quixote.

  • Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge- There is nothing much to write about this cult classic from the house of Yash Raj Films. It's a film that is considered like a Bible of romantic films by today's generations. It's a film that has spawned documentaries, non fictions and research topic for PhD holders. Released on 20th October, 1995 the film still continues to draw ratings on satellite channels.

  • Ram Jaane- SRK played a negative role for the fourth time in this film. The others being - Darr, Baazigar and Anjaam. The film was a moderate success at the box office though Khan looked unconvincing in the role of a tapori. This was the second film for Shah Rukh Khan with the Mehra's after 'Chamatkar'. In the end it was a typical Bollywood potboiler with no substance.

  • Trimurti was a Christmas release in 1995 and Bollywood was yet to wake up to decipher the potential of the most profitable period of the year. The bottom line being Trimurti in its very first week got the honour of being the worst directorial film of Subhash Ghai. It's a different matter that Ghai kept adding to his bad record with 'Yaadein' and then 'Yuvraaj'. In Trimurti, SRK looked clueless in the role of a lover and a brother sandwiched between two elder siblings.
