Mumbai meri jaan: Films that captured the beautiful city!

  • Mumbai is a city synonymous with glamour and cinema. Whenever movies are set in Mumbai, the city in itself plays an equally important part as the characters in the film. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's recent release, 'Bombay Velvet' starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead, takes us back to the 1960s when Mumbai was called 'Bombay'. Though the movie was shot in Sri Lanka where a replica of Mumbai was created from the era then, the cinematography of the film did complete justice to the city's heritage and culture.
