Aamir rejects ads to protect his image

Aamir Khan has recently rejected a luxury car endorsement to stick to his social crusader image. The actor is well known for his films containing hard hitting social messages. His debut television show 'Satyamev Jayate' featured different intrinsic evils in the society and stories of the people who fought them. Aamir's movies like 'Rang De Basanti', 'Taare Zameen Par', '3 Idiots' and his television show 'Satymev Jayate' created a social crusader image for the actor. As soon as he started work on the show, Aamir altered his existing contracts with the ad agencies and later even cancelled all his commitments. "Aamir only wants to work on ads that are socially relevant. He is rumoured to have cancelled ad deals amounting to a few crores," as source said. Though Aamir's 'Satyamev Jayate' is long over, the actor still doesn't want to do any advertisement featuring luxury. Aamir Khan has decided to work only for ads which come under social issues. A source said, "Aamir did not sign up for it as it didn't come under the umbrella of social issues." Now that Aamir Khan's movie 'Talaash' is out, the second installment of 'Satymev Jayate' is soon to come, as Aamir Khan confirmed it last year.
