What's the film about-
The film revolves around a wild life photographer (Uday) who saves a white tiger cub, in the Sundarbans, only to be attacked and killed by its mother later on. The photographer's brother Pandit (Abhinav Shukla) then seeks revenge by going on a hunt, chasing the white tigress with his entourage, which forms the rest of the plot.

What we liked:
From the first frame of the film, where a chameleon artfully catches a dragonfly, Roar is an edge of the seat thrilling experience. The film takes us on a breathtaking ride into the dense forests of the Sundarbans. A visual treat to the senses, Roar has been executed with utmost precision. Several scenes in the film leave you engrossed in the serene and tranquil setting.

Despite having no big names, director Kamal Sadanah has managed to convey a very serious message in the most sensitive way possible.

While the film shows Abhinav Shukla entering the forest with his contingent along with mass weaponry, they go undetected by forest officials, signifying how poaching has become very common, leading to the dwindling population of tigers.

The film throws light on the tribes and their customs, living along the coast of the Sundarbans, peaking the credibility of the story.

Abhinav Shukla makes a dramatic debut as Pandit, the leader of the pack. Himarsha Venkatsamy and Ali Quili Mirza have delivered more than expected.

Cinematographer Michael Watson has played well with the birds eye view shots, engaging you in the sylvan, dense Sundarban forests.

The CGI and VFX used in the film have definitely created a benchmark in Indian cinema. With standards unquestionably equivalent to our western counterparts, the graphics will surely stun you. Roaring with pride, the white tigress, looks majestic in all her glory.  Even the other reptiles created on CGI will leave you thrilled.
Although the female characters are a little over the top, the film does full justice to the theme.

This film is definitely a roaring, visual treat to the senses that you should not miss!
