With 500 cr deal, Salman rules!

Known for his trendsetting style, this time also Khan has managed to do something much bigger than anyone in the industry would imagine. Salman Khan has inked a deal with Star India of whooping Rs.450-500 crores. The star has effectively made the channel the only satellite podium for his forth coming films he makes in next five years. Salman confirmed the news about his deal but kept the numbers undercover. The contract will include all his films over the next five years after last month's Dabangg2. "It is reasonably long and big," said Star India's Chief Operating Officer Sanjay Gupta to a financial newspaper. His next five projects includes Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick , brother Sohail Khan's next film, Boney Kapoor's sequel to No Entry , Dabangg 3 as well as Sooraj Barjatya's next movie. The star has given blockbusters till now, those include films such as Dabangg, Wanted, Ready, Bodyguard, Tere Naam, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya and his recent release Dabangg 2. Just like box office records he also created a record by gaining the highest TRP rating of 10.3 for his film Bodyguard when it was aired on Television. Other films whose satellite rights were recently sold for hefty prices to TV channels included Aamir Khan's Talaash, Karan Johar's Agneepath for 40 crore and Hrithik Roshan's Krissh3 and the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Don2 for 37 crore each.
