Sanju shifted to Yerawada Jail

It's been a week since Sanjay Dutt surrendered to the TADA court and was shifted to the Arthur road jail. Late last night the actor was sent to Pune's Yerwada prison. He will complete his Jail term there for the next 42 months.
Sanju, who has been convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case for illegal possession of arms, has previously served time twice in the Pune prison. However, this time the actor will not be under-trial but a convict. He will have to wear jail uniform and will also be given a 'qaidi' or prisoner number, prefixed with the letter 'C' stating that he is a convict.
Sanju has been allowed to get home-made food, a thin mattress and pillow for a month. But the court rejected his request to smoke electronic cigarettes in prison.
Last time Dutt had taken up carpentry at Yerawada Jail. However, this time he is expected to do labour work. He is entitled to get a monthly allowance of Rs.1500 from his family to buy essentials from the jail canteen. Sanju is also entitled to meet visitors once a month for 20 minutes.
