Salman says his caste is Indian to the judge

Bollywood actor Salman Khan is going in and out of court houses these days. Today the star went in to give his statement on the blackbuck case in Jodhpur. When Salman was asked to fill the caste column by the court magistrate, he said, "I am an Indian." Even after being told that he has to give the answer to whether he is Hindu or Muslim, the actor further added, "I am both Hindu and Muslim. My father is a Muslim and mother is Hindu. Therefore, I am Indian."
An FIR was lodged against Salman and his fellow actors from his 1999 film Hum Saath Saath Hain for poaching and hunting down blackbucks in Jodhpur which are a protected under the Wildlife Protection Act. Salman was held accountable for using illegal arms with an expired license. The case has been in court ever since then and the actor was supposed to record his statement on the 23rd of April which he missed due to health problems. Salman pleaded not guilty for this offense and also said that he was framed. He is also waiting for the verdict to come out on 6th May for his 2002 hit-and-run case.
