Salman comes to the rescue of Govinda

Govinda, who ruled the silver screen in the '90s, has had a dry spell of late. His last most memorable appearance would be in Partner (2007) in which he shared screen with Salman. It is no secret that Govinda has been desperately looking for a good film and Salman, who is known for his bigheartedness, has come to his rescue.

Earlier this week, old friends Salman and Govinda were spotted together at the screening of a film where they had a chat with each other and even shared a warm hug. Ever since, there were speculations if Salman would help Chi Chi with a comeback film.

And we've now found out that Salman has in fact agreed to produce and star in a film with Govinda. This will be Salman’s second production venture after 'Chillar Party'. The film will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.
But do not confuse this project with Mahesh's Hindi remake of 'Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho', which Govinda had apparently turned down. This is an altogether different project on which Mahesh, Govinda and Salman are working together.

Govinda confirmed this news and said, "Yes, Salman, Mahesh and I have had meetings to discuss a project, which in pipeline. As and when it is out, it will be announced. I want to make a proper comeback, and good platform."
Govinda is currently working on the remake of the 1983 film 'Avtaar'.
