Raj Kundra confesses to betting!

Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra was interrogated by the Delhi police for around 10 hours on June 5 for the IPL spot-fixing scam. After continuous grilling, Kundra finally confessed that he has been betting since the last two-three years, but he has not fixed any matches ever, confirms Delhi Police. The Delhi police however confiscated his passport and has refrained him from going out of India till the spot-fixing probe ends.

Delhi Police chief Neeraj Kumar confirmed that Kundra had admitted to placing bets. Kundra, according to the Delhi Police chief, has told the police that he lost money after placing bets on his own team.

A police official said, "We have seized Kundra's passport so he doesn't go out of the country till the spot-fixing probe is over. We will be questioning him further."

The police official further added, "Kundra's role is very important in the Rajasthan Royals team. We are yet to decide on his arrest. It will be known only after further questioning."

Shilpa Shetty says, "We're doing everything to aid the police; very upsetting, Umesh Goenka misused Raj's name."

The Delhi police also added that Raj's business partner Umesh Goenka might be questioned again for the spot-fixing case. Raj Kundra, who is a British national, has business in Dubai, Ukraine and Botswana. But till the probe ends, the Rajasthan Royals owner will have to stay back in India.
