Producer & Rana Daggubatti's grandfather D Ramanaidu passes away

The entire South Indian film fraternity has been rendered speechless at the the inexplicable loss today of the iconic D. Ramanaidu. The producer was suffering from severe health issues for sometime now and lost the battle today at the age of 79.

D. Ramanaidu started his production house known as Suresh Productions in the year 1964 and made a superhit movie under his banner called Raamudu Bheemudu. Since then the industry veteran has been giving the audiences fabulous movies in many languages. He was also bestowed with the third highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Telugu cinema. In the year 2009, Mr. Ramanaidu was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award which is known as the highest award in India for cinema.

With a glorious career of making films, he was also known to act in several of them especially his home productions. He has left his legacy behind with his grandson, Rana Daggubatti who is extremely famous in the South Film community and is getting strong recognition for his power-packed performances in Bollywood too. We hope that after giving such joyful moments through his films, D. Ramanaidu's soul may rest in peace.
