No funds for Aamir-Salman's 3-D avatars

The 1994 comedy film Andaz Apna Apna starring Salman Khan & Aamir Khan over the years gained a cult following in India. An animated 3D version of the Rajkumar Santoshi film was in the making. However, owing to financial troubles, the future of this ambitious project looks bleak.

Siddharth Jain, who was producing the 3D version of the film, informs, "I think the animation format has not picked up in India. It held a lot of promise a few years ago, but not anymore. If the situation improves, I shall definitely go back to the film."

The film was estimated to be made at a budget of Rs 15 crore, and according to sources, it is almost 35 per cent complete. Also, Salman had apparently agreed to lend his voice to the film. But with the makers now uncertain about investing further in the project, chances are the film might never see the light of the day.
