Imran gets inspired by Anil & Jackie

Actor Imran Khan, who will be playing a 1980's goon in Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again, has confessed that he had to watch several Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff movies to mould into his character.

The actor, who has been a part of films like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Delhi Belly, I Hate Luv Storys and Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, found his role to be quite challenging. He reveals, "As I had to go back to 80s for my role in the film, I based my character on actors like Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. I watched a lot of films of these two actors to understand how things were back then."

The actor has played rough characters in his previous films, but denies having created any specific image. He says, "I have not thought of my image. People talk about my image change after Delhi Belly and Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola. But, I never thought about it that way. I only looked at the script as an audience and think if I would want to watch this film or not. If I find a story entertaining then I do it. I just go with my gut feeling and not think about what will work and what will not."

Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Again will feature Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan. The movie is slated to release during Eid, on August 8, this year.
