Bobby Singh passes away

Well known Bollywood cinematographer Bobby Singh breathed his last on 25th December. The 38 year old was holidaying in Goa with his family after wrapping up the shoot on the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Special Chabbis’, when the unfortunate incident occurred. He suffered an asthma attack which was caused due to an allergic reaction after eating crabs.
Bobby had worked on numerous films like The Dirty Picture, Gangster, Woh Lamhe and Jannat 2 among others.
The young cinematographer’s sudden demise came as a shock to the film industry.
Mahesh Bhatt, who had worked with the cinematographer on some his films said, “The news of Bobby’s sudden death has shattered us. He was a match winner. His contribution to our films made a world of difference.”
Anurag Basu, who was a dear friend of his, deeply grieved his loss. Basu said, “It has come as a rude shock to me. I have very few friends in the film industry and Bobby was one of them. He was an asthma patient and I guess the allergy aggravated. He worked with me on Life in A Metro and Kites. He was full of life and made everyone happy. More than our friendship, his family and my family bonded well.”
Anupum Kher, who worked with Singh on ‘Special Chabbis’ tweeted, “I am so so sad to share the news of our Special 26’s Cinematographer Bobby Singh’s sudden demise. He was brilliant & so full of life. RIP.”
