Big B wants realistic cinema in India

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wants directors to make films based on real life topics which affect the society. Big B posted shared it on his blog, after meeting a girl named Kankana, who is making a documentary on violence against women.

The girl apparently took Big B's byte on the subject for which the veteran actor got quite impressed. He posted: "It is a brave effort on her part to construct a subject through film, her first, on a subject that is so prevalent in society today, and one that needs to be addressed immediately. Good luck to her. Directors should come up with more films on real subjects."

The megastar is also quite happy with off-beat films making mark on the 60th National Awards such as 'Paan Singh Tomar', 'Kahaani' and 'Vicky Donor'. 

He added, "The world of cinema in India is changing so rapidly it is difficult to keep up with them. I am delighted to be in the company of some of them and to share and perhaps participate in their dreams. I do realise my standing and that it does not weigh too heavily when in comparison with the young. But I shall endeavour and put in hard work and perhaps attempt to be in the company which deserves mention ..."
