B-Town unites for special song

Some of the biggest stars of B-town including industry veterans have come together for a special song in the upcoming film, Bombay Talkies. The film is a tribute to the completion of 100 years of Indian cinema.
  
The song is titled 'Apna Bombay talkies', and has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. The song will feature all the three Khans – Shah Rukh, Aamir and Saif, in addition to other A-listers like Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar, Rani Mukerji, Farhan Akhtar, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Sridevi, Akshay Kumar, Karisma Kapoor and Juhi Chawla.
 
Bollywood’s young brigade like Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Imran Khan, Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will also feature in it.
 
The song has been shot entirely in a month’s time and over 20 singers have lent their voice for the same. Some of the prominent singers are Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, SP Balasubramaniam, Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Mohit Chauhan, Sonu Nigam, Sudhesh Bhosle, Shreya Ghosal, Shilpa Rao, Udit Narayan and Sukhwinder Singh. For the first time all 20 singers will be a part of the same song.
 
"Bombay Talkies" is an amalgamation of four short films by four filmmakers - Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibaker Banerjee and Karan Johar. The movie releases on May 3 and it will also be screened at the Cannes film festival this year.
