Amitabh-Nana patch up after 13 years

Ram Gopal Verma's film "The Attack of 26/11" was the reason behind Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar's patch up. Amitabh Bachchan who viewed his friend RGV's film was so much touched by Nana Patekar's performance that he decided to forget their differences and immediately went out of his way to congratulate the actor. Nana Patekar, who is seen portraying the character of top-cop Rakesh Maria in RGV's film, had shared screen with Big B 13 years ago in Mehul Kumar's "Kohram". Since then they were said to be not on good terms. A very close source to the film says, "Nana didn't expect this. Bachchan saab and he hardly share what I'd call great vibes. It goes back to the time they did Kohram together." And Amitabh Bachchan appreciated his efforts by sending a bouquet and hand-written note to Nana. In the past Nana Patekar has offered Amitabh Bachchan a role in keeping in mind his persona but things didn't work out and Nana's wish remained unfulfilled. Ram Gopal Verma said, "Because of my long association with Amitji and since I value his opinion very highly, I showed my film to him. The 26/11 attacks were probably the most heinous and tragic events that happened in post independent India and I strongly believe that more than any documentary or any number of books written on it, only a feature film can do complete justice in capturing both its tragedy and its spirit for posterity."
